Account Manager - Energy Efficiency Program | ICF International | Jackson, MI
We are currently seeking Account Managers for our Energy Efficiency
group to provide critical program field services for the Home
Performance with ENERGY STAR Program in Michigan.
ICF's Energy, Climate & Transportation practice offers results and
solutions to a broad range of clients in the energy industry in the
Americas, Europe, and Asia. We have advised both private and public
sector clients in all facets of the energy industry for more than 30

Account Managers will be responsible for:
- Building and
maintaining relationships with key market actors in the home improvement
industry including contractors (insulation, heating, cooling, plumbing,
windows, remodelers, general contractors), energy raters/consultants,
home inspectors, public officials, public interest groups and customers
- Conducting partner recruitment activities to achieve the program goals
for contractor and consultant recruitment
- Maintaining strong ongoing
communications with participating contractors and consultants in order
to assess their needs and to receive feedback on their experience with
the program
- Providing or referring contractors and consultants to
technical, administrative and marketing assistance
- Contributing to the
evolution of program strategies and the design of program features and
services
- Contributing to the deployment of program marketing and
outreach campaigns
- Conducting market ally outreach and training as
needed
- Preparing status reports to accurately describe activities in
the field and to monitor progress towards program goals on
contractor/consultant participation and the completion of eligible
projects
- Coordinating with or follow up on program Quality Assurance
activities such as field inspections and customer surveys, as
appropriate
- Reporting activities by contractors/consultants that are
out of compliance with program or industry standards, of questionable
ethics, or which in any way diminish the effectiveness and/or the
integrity of the program or of the client, and making recommendations
for appropriate corrective actions, such as assistance, education, or
sanctions (probation, suspension, expulsion)
- Making recommendations for
recognition of contractors who have been particularly successful in
their program activities in terms of quality and/or volume of work,
customer satisfaction, etc.
Key Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience developing and running
successful energy efficiency programs, with specific expertise in
residential energy issues
- Demonstrated capabilities in building and
maintaining relationships with key market actors in the residential home
improvement industry including contractors, real estate agents, home
energy rating specialists, weatherization agencies, and public officials
- Outstanding analytical, writing, and communication skills and excellent
interpersonal skills are required
- Experience with the energy efficiency
program market in Michigan and familiarity with programs run by utility
companies in Michigan
- Experience with the home improvement market in
Michigan (direct experience in production, administration or sales, or
experience working with home improvement industry at a utility, public
agency or non-governmental organization
- Knowledge of residential
energy-efficient and renewable technologies
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of integrated or whole house
building science principles
- Knowledge of energy efficiency and US
policies for residential energy
- Knowledge of water efficiency issues
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices and technologies
- Business-to-business sales or recruitment experience
