The Energy Efficiency group is a leader in designing and implementing
effective and innovative demand side management strategies, including
energy efficiency, demand response, and peak load management. Our
thorough understanding of our clients' needs enables us to help energy
companies, governments, and commercial clients worldwide to manage
energy consumption and peak demand.
To support our growth, we are seeking a manager to join our Energy
Efficiency team. This position requires experience with utility energy
efficiency programs and knowledge of energy efficiency technologies
associated with small-commercial building systems. We are seeking
candidates with a strong working knowledge of the existing network of
lighting distributors, lighting contractors and electrical contractors -
to help bring effective, energy efficient lighting to the small
commercial marketing. Basic knowledge of lighting systems, commercial
building energy technologies, or experience in the building trades is a
plus.
Prior experience or a strong interest in one or more of the following is
a plus:
- Experience performing energy audits and energy savings
calculations
- Lighting retrofit designs
- Installation of lighting
equipment
- HVAC System assessment, operations and maintenance
- Interacting with small business owners
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team ensuring that the
evaluation, implementation and verification of energy efficiency
projects are successfully executed.
- Provide technical assistance and
guidance on energy efficient technologies and practices to companies
participating in utility-sponsored programs.
- Review technical
specifications, engineering calculations and cost estimates for energy
efficiency projects for small commercial customers.
- Interface with
contractors installing energy efficiency projects for small commercial
customers.
- Conduct lighting and other energy using equipment surveys to
verify installation and operation of energy efficiency equipment.
- Prepare project status reports to accurately monitor progress towards
utilities' energy efficiency goals and report annual achievements (units
delivered, kW and kWh achieved, emission reductions, etc.)
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of
utility, energy efficiency, or equivalent trade experience (electrical
or HVAC contracting).
- Certified Energy Managers, Certified Lighting
Professionals or Master Electricians preferred.
- Knowledge of lighting,
motors, and HVAC systems required.
- Experience with energy auditing
preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly
developed interpersonal and customer relationship management skills
- Strong personal computer skills (Microsoft applications)
